About Meta Muse
On security, Meta's official Muse page says logins are kept in a secure credential store the agent can't read, that a one-time card number is generated at checkout so neither the merchant nor the agent sees the real card, and that conversations are not shared with Meta's ad systems. Muse is Meta's personal AI agent: it gets to know the user's goals and takes tasks off their plate across email, calendar, Instagram and other connected apps.
Users chat with Muse in the Muse app on mobile or Mac, or directly in WhatsApp. Muse works on Muse Secure VM, a persistent, isolated Linux computer with a full browser that the user can also open to step in at any point. Muse asks for approval before critical actions such as sending emails or making purchases, keeps a complete audit trail of what it has done and plans to do, and keeps working in the background after the app is closed. It is free with a usage limit, with paid subscriptions for more use.
