About Tesla Optimus
Optimus is a humanoid robot under development by Tesla in the United States. According to Tesla, the goal is a general-purpose, bipedal, autonomous humanoid robot capable of performing tasks that are unsafe, repetitive or boring.
Tesla says reaching that goal requires building the software stacks that enable balance, navigation, perception and interaction with the physical world. The company develops Optimus as part of its AI and robotics work, alongside its Full Self-Driving software and AI inference chips.
