About LTX-2.5
LTX-2.5 is an open-weights world model for video generation from LTX, released on August 11, 2026, and published on Hugging Face under the Lightricks organization. According to its model card, it generates synchronized video and audio from text, image and video inputs; its use in emerging areas such as robotics and physical AI is described there as still developing. The model includes a pretrained base checkpoint made for fine-tuning on new domains.
Compared with earlier versions, LTX-2.5 adds native multi-shot generation that keeps characters, settings, lighting and style consistent across cuts, a new diffusion video decoder, a custom Gemma 4 12B text encoder, a prompt enhancer, an optional duration predictor and an improved distilled model. The weights and code are on GitHub and Hugging Face, and use is free for organizations with under $10 million in annual revenue, with a paid license above that. It is also offered through the LTX API (ltx-2-5-fast and ltx-2-5-pro) and in LTX Desktop, a local video editor.
