Guys, good morning and hello from the most original YouTube channel on the planet where a 30-some year old white guy in a hat with a leather patch on it that is an ode to his younger years who lives in Austin and his first name is either Alex, Kyle, Chris, or Nick is going to teach you something and show you something about AI. So enjoy. Here we go. Today we're talking about Instinct. It is blowing up on Twitter where I spend half my life it seems like now. Maybe it's blowing up on LinkedIn. I don't go to that cesspool and it is an assistant that lives directly in your iMes. It is awesome. I've used it for about 5 days now. I have no connection to the company whatsoever. It has just been genuinely a fairly life-changing addition to AI tools that I think is actually going to make a difference in people's lives. And today we're going to talk about it. I'm going to show you a little bit of a demo. Let's get into it. So, by the way, I have 25 invites left for the beta access for this. If you want it, you can join my email list below. You'll get an autoresponder. go ahead and just respond to that saying, "Hey, Alex, give me my freaking invite." And, uh, if you're one of the first 20, I will send it to you. So, um, this is it. It lives right in your iMes. I'm not scrolling up because I know you little sneaky perverts are going to try and see everything I'm typing in here. Okay, but I want to show you how this works. Okay, I asked it before. You can see two use. Ashley's got one of them. That's my wife. Um, but we can ask anything. Hey, you're connected to all my calendars. Can you show me what I have available today and what's going on? So, it's really cool because to me it really shows like it's an assistant. You can see here it's like you're talking to somebody, which is kind of creepy in some ways. I gave it access to a lot of things. Okay. Uh I gave it access to all my calendars and my Gmail. Um I let it it does not have right access, but it does have read access to everything. So, you can see right here, cool. On the books is this, this, and this. Wide open. Otherwise, great. Cool. That sounds great. I want to make an appointment for my dog uh to get her teeth cleaned. She's going to have to go under for it. We usually go to the veterinarian that's over there in Circle C off of Slaughter Lane. Can you find some appointments for us and see what's available? Okay, there we go. Now, that's actually true. My dog Macy, who's sleeping somewhere behind me here, actually needs to go get her teeth cleaned. She needs a deep cleaning. Look at that. And it puts a little paw right there. So, the way I've been using it is literally I traveled to Milwaukee for a client last weekend or let's see on Wednesday, Thursday and uh the flight got changed and I was going to miss my layover. it got delayed and I just texted it while I was in a meeting to just say, "Hey, can you actually go through and can you find me new seats and it did and it paid for them and it got me the first row that layover I literally had three minutes to spare before I would have missed my next flight and it handled it." The beautiful thing about it is that a lot of agents can do this kind of stuff, right? People look at this and they're like, "What's the big deal?" Like if you're into Codeex or you're into Claude, it can now do browser use. It could go do these things for you. Yeah, but I don't always have my computer with me. A lot of times you're out to lunch, you're out living your life. You're at the gym and you need the admin stuff of your life that are all these tabs that take up time. The vet appointments, the doctor appointments, booking things, just all the things that little knickknack stuff that just eats up all the annoying time of life. This really took care of a lot of it. It made dinner reservations for my wife and I. Uh it actually started a whole legion campaign for my business. So, it really does quite a lot of things. And let's see here how it handles this right here. All right. And we are back. Let's see here. Okay, so that took a few minutes. Uh, let's see. It took three minutes there. So, look, it found it. The catch is that dental cleanings aren't bookable online. Their portal only does wellness and sick visits. So, here's the move is to call them. You're free today and tomorrow. So, a consult this week is easy if they have one. So, pretty cool, right? Can't do it online. Okay, fair enough. So, let's try something that can be done. Uh, find me times for the the nearest reservation at Red Ash in Austin. I want to book for a party of four. Go ahead and just book it under my name, Alexar. All right. All right. So, you can see here I waited a few minutes and then uh it has been doing this lately and I think it's because there's so much demand going on and so much compute power happening that it can just take a few minutes sometimes where you come sometimes have to check in and it's like uh hello you there bro and so you can see here it kind of deferred responsibility a little bit. So that's definitely something they need to work on that has gotten worse in the past few days the more and more people I've seen talk about it. I think that um you know right now it's still 100% free. They're in beta. So I think they're just taking on VC funding in order to pay for all the computing power because I haven't paid a dime for this. And if you get one of the invites, if you respond to the email below, if you subscribe to the newsletter below and just reply to the initial email that goes out, I will send you uh an invite. I have 20 left. So if you're one of the first 20, then you can try it out. Um but I think that you don't have to pay anything for it. And so they're in like this massive beta and so a lot of the stuff is just just takes a while because it's uh it's gotten worse. So that's something to take note of. Um they'll probably fix it, but um right now it's sometimes going to just take a little bit longer than you would expect to just pull stuff up like dinner reservations. By the way, I love how it does that. I like how it's like defers responsibility already. Just like another human like, "Oh, it's not my fault. It's the bookie page. It's not me." Back with the time slowly. Uh anyway. Okay, let's see here. So, it looks like uh OpenTable. Oh, I'm seeing on my other screen that OpenT verification code sent me something. So, it's probably going to tell me here in a sec that Open Code should have just sent me something. Let me know what it is. Let's see. Yep, there we go. It's starting to type. I guarantee it's going to say Open Code just sent you a a thing. What is it? There it is. Yep. Okay, so we'll put that in here. I can see it down below on my other screen. So that's going to happen a lot where it's going to it needs to get verification for things because once again it's just on its own computer logging into this stuff and doing it for you just like you had an assistant. And so in the same way if you have two factor authorization on if you have any type of authentication that needs to happen then it's going to say hey you just got a text can you let me know what it is. Hey what's the on your authenticator app what's the code? And that's going to be the main thing that uh you're going to have to do sometimes which by the way this is crazy. Red Ash usually is months and months to get a reservation. At 7:45, usually it's like a party of four. You'd have to wait. Literally, it's September right now. You'd have to wait till November. I'm not even exaggerating. So, once again, it is just taking a little bit of time here. You can see here that was four minutes, which in our current day and age is an eternity. Wrapping up codes and confirmation page, the last step. Stand by. All right, we will stand by Instinct and we will see how you do. Okay, so you can see here guys, it hit a wall on my end. Sorry about the code grind. All three codes verified fine, but it didn't stick in the browser session. So, nothing to do but just handle it yourself. So, obviously not ideal. Um, there's definitely been some problems that are popping up here because it was handling stuff like this for me. It booked another reservation for my wife and I over the weekend. So, um, I'm not really sure why it's having issues now. Like I said, I think it's just due to demand. But, let's go ahead and do one more thing. This did work this morning, so I can show you guys this. But, um, I'm glad it's kind of given an honest assessment here. But I will say that overall once they get this computing stuff solved like it was four days ago um it really did feel like the future. And I really do think that the more that we can reduce friction for a lot of these things then the more people are just going to start um taking them on in their life. And having it directly in Slack for your workspace is a huge thing that we're seeing businesses with our company incorporate because everyone's already in Slack. They don't have to learn anything new, right? they just tag the agent instead of tagging the human to say, "Hey, can you summarize this or can you give me this information?" And the same is going to happen with iMes. Most people just live in their iMes, right? That's like the main app. If you have an iPhone that you all can relate to and if you have an Android, then you can also relate to doing text messages or maybe WhatsApp. And so that is where this entire movement is going is people are going to start living and having these agents be these assistants within their messages. That I feel very strongly about that. What does that mean for the world? I don't know, but that's just how I think it's going to go. Man, seeing that pasta right there makes me so hungry right now. God damn, that looks good. So, I'm going to put in this prompt um because it gives me a great summary in the morning, but it's got some personal stuff. So, I don't want you guys to see that. So, I'm going to have it basically give the exact same summary that I woke up to this morning, just with some mock data. But really cool because it walks through like all the appointments coming up. It looks ahead, right? all your emails will show you like these different vacations you have coming up or u mine was literally my AC uh you know is was not functioning properly and um different appointments and so it does a really good job of just kind of summarizing your life a little bit and uh be able to wake up with that. So you can see here, right? This is mock data, but like you have a here's your morning is stacked. You have a call with here. You have a vendor that overlaps with a deep work block you protected. You want me to move it? Right. Uh your autopay hits Friday. Um look at the usage. Your thermostat ran overnight. Your refund from the airline finally posted. And then your business, here's all the things that went with that. Your mom's birthday is on Sunday. Want me to get flowers or a gift moving today so it's on time? That's the kind of capabilities that this thing has. And I really do think that that's going to be what moves forward. So, uh, that's it for Instinct, guys. I know that demo was maybe not as exciting as I made it sound at the beginning, but I also wanted to show you guys the reality of how these things are working right now. Um, I really enjoy it. I'm very impressed overall. I think once they figure out this computing issue and the speed, it's going to go back to being a major hit. And if it's not Instinct, it's going to be another one. Some other companies going to come out with one. Chat TBT might come out with it, but you're going to see people more and more over the next six months use these agents within their iMes. and a lot of success. So once again, down below, click the link, subscribe to my newsletter, respond to that saying, "Hey, I'd love to try it out." And um I'll send you one of the 20 invites that I have left that were given to me. So that's it and I'll see you guys on the next one. See you.
