Muse from Meta is the best personal agent that I've ever used to date. It actually saved me over $800 a year in my cable and phone bills, which is just insane value for an AI tool that you can use for free. And the craziest part is that it did this by calling customer support to negotiate my bills for me. So, in this video, I'm going to walk you through 10 of my favorite Muse use cases, including checking for important messages in Messenger and iMes, building a personalized morning news feed, tracking and fixing my bad habits, booking restaurants and shows, and of course, negotiating all my bills. All right, so let me start by jumping right in and showing you how to use Muse to save money right now. Okay, so this is the Muse desktop app. And here's my chat with Muse to save money on my AT&T phone bill. It started by asking me to log to AT&T on the website. And I basically gave it my username and password in the secure store and it uses browser to login for me. And then I looked up my account and what it found was that if I switched my bill from my credit card to my bank account, it can actually save me around $10 per line per month. So in total, that's $40 off per month. So I told it, hey, give me the discounts, but don't mess up my lines. And I started to enroll in this stuff. And then eventually it asked me to enter in my bank account number and also routing number in its cloud browser at the AT&T website. You know, it didn't want to do it for me because of privacy and other issues. So I did that and then it said done. The discount is live. Here's where things stand. You got $40 a month off. It's now pulling from your Bank of America checking balance. And now we've reduced the price of your bill from $200 to around $160. Right? And down here I asked it, hey, how much money did this save me per year? And it told me that I saved around $480 per year, which is just incredible from a 5 to10 minute conversation. So you can see here that I basically set up a finances thread with Muse and I'm asking it you know for more ways to save money and I've started working with it to potentially save money on my Tesla insurance too. So basically it asks me for information about my car where it's based and so on and it can look up a bunch of other insurance providers Geico Progressive and State Farm to try to negotiate my insurance bills. And later in this video, I'll also show you how I called and negotiated my Comcast cable bill with a real customer support person. But let's take a step back real quick and get oriented around the Muse app. So, by default, Muse comes with this pretty cute SAS avatar, but personally, I'm a huge Red Panda fan. So, the first thing I did when I installed Muse is ask it to switch to a red panda avatar. All right. So basically I asked it, hey, can you become a red panda with animations? And it generated four images of red pandas. And then uh I told it to make it cuter. And it came with four more. And then I picked this one. And uh what's incredible is that it updated look and it added animations by default, right? So it actually animated avatar to look around. So this is super cute, but I wanted to push it a little bit further. I told it to add more animations. You know, by default, it has animation facing me and also animation showing it typing. And then I got it to generate a bunch more red panda clips. So, here's a clip of red panda waving hi. Uh here's a clip of red panda eating some bamboo and so on. Okay. So, then I asked it to add the animations to be edible on my profile. And unfortunately, I said that it's not possible. Uh there's no path for me to add more animations. So, we kind of got stuck there. But the fact I can customize the avatar so easily and have it be animated in a few simple chat requests is just a sign of how polished the Muse experience is. You know, my red panda just feels so much more personal than a bunch of random chat messages. All right, next I want to show you what apps Muse can connect to. So, basically, I asked it, you know, what apps can you connect to? As you can see from Mus's reply, there are quite a lot of apps and beyond the standard email and calendar stuff, right? I think one of Mus' biggest differentiators is that it can connect natively to all of Meta's apps like Instagram threads, Facebook, and Messenger. And real quick, I actually set up a messages thread and basically asked it to monitor my messaging apps, not including email, and let me know if there's something that I need to follow up on. And then it checked iMes and it asked me to connect to all these other things. And it turns out that all I'm getting through Instagram and threads DMs is a bunch of spam. So nothing super important, but you can see how useful this is. You know, we all use multiple messaging apps. Personally, I use Messenger, WhatsApp, and iMes. And it's just hard to keep track of everything. So be able to set up, for example, a scheduled task for my muse to check unread messages every day and let me know what's important is just incredibly valuable. Now going back to this list of apps that Muse can connect to. What I found is that Muse can actually easy connect to apps beyond this list. So for example, I tried to get it to connect to Linear and it couldn't figure out how to do it. But I actually really like that Muse is focused on personal use cases and personal apps instead of being kind of a jack of all trades. You know, for normal people, they're not going to want to deal with API keys and other things like that. So just being able to connect to these everyday apps in one shot is very useful. All right, so since Muse can connect to Facebook, it's also really great for buying and listing things on Facebook Marketplace. So, for example, here I asked it to look up single golf clubs near me to buy on marketplace and it gave me a list of these, you know, three different options and I can click on each one to check out the full listing. And if I want to, I can also list my own stuff. So, if I want to list my old iPhone 13 Pro on Facebook Marketplace, it just asks me for the photos, the price, and everything else, and it will list it for me. And because Muse is also connected to Facebook Messenger, um it can also message sellers and negotiate on price. So for example, here I'm asking it to send a message to the person who listed this golf club to ask about availability and you know after confirming it can send a message and negotiate with the seller to buy the golf club at the right price. All right. So now let's explore some of the tabs to the left of the Muse app here. Starting with the feed tab. You know, the funny thing is these days Facebook's feed itself is just full of like AI slop junk and ads. And Muse's feed here is actually much more valuable to me. So all I did to generate this feed was I asked Muse to send me important AI news and updates on topics that I care about. And every morning you can see here that I can basically skim this feed to keep track of all the latest AI stuff from the major labs and news. And I can also click on each thing to open the browser to dig into more. Another thing you can do with feed is you can customize it here. And you can also ask it to add personal information. So things tied to my life and projects, you know, like my newsletter. So basically, you can make a personal feed with whatever you want. And at least right now, this feed doesn't have any ads at all, right? So I'm I'm sure someday, you know, if Muse becomes super popular, Meta is going to add ads to this feed. But for now, I think it's just incredibly valuable to have a personalized feed that you can look at every morning while drinking your coffee on topics and stuff that you actually care about. All right, next, let's take a look at Muse's goals tab. So, I really love how Muse also makes a personalized to-do list here based on all the conversations that I've had with it. So, you can see here how Muse has items for uh negotiating my cable bill, for booking my Japan flight, for making a YouTube video about Muse and so on. And down here, you can see that there's a goal section. So, let me show you the chat that I did to set up this goal. You know, overall, I think I have pretty good habits. I work out every day and I try to eat healthy. But one of my worst habits is I like to bring my phone to the bedroom and look on my phone before bed. And often I will wake up at 5:00 a.m., you know, decide to doom scroll my phone and not be able to sleep again. So I asked Muse, hey, I'm trying to break this habit. I want to stop bringing my phone to my bedroom, right? And it told me, hey, what usually pulls your phone to the bedroom? What do you actually do with it? I say, I like to scroll. And instead of bringing my phone to my bedroom, I aspire to read books. And I usually go to sleep around 10 to 10:30 p.m. You know, I'm kind of like an old man, so I go to sleep pretty early. All right. So then decide to make a plan. And there we go. And what's really cool is that I set up this artifact that's also visible on the left. Let's take a look at this artifact right now. So, what this artifact does is every day, you know, around bedtime, it's going to ask me and remind me, hey, don't bring your phone to your bathroom. And then every morning, it's going to check in with me on whether I actually did it or not. And then based on that, it's going to show me this chart along with streaks. So, um, basically the record so far has not been very good. Uh, pretty much I' I've still brought my phone to my bedroom, uh, two nights in a row. But, you know, having this artifact and having me used to send me reminders every day will hopefully motivate me to fix this bad habit. And as I mentioned, all of your goals also show up here. And down here, you can set up goals for, you know, your health, for your relationships, and so on. And if you say, I want to start a health goal, it's going to walk you through what kind of health goals you want to start. So, yeah, using Muse to track your habits is definitely a very interesting use case. All right. All right. So, another tab that I really like is Muse's personalized suggestions for things that it can do for me. You know, with chat GPT and some of these other providers, it's just a chat box and most people have no idea what to put into the chat box. But Muse actually based on my conversations and based on what it knows about me, proactively suggest stuff. So, some ideas it has is, hey, it can stage my Muse video shoot packet. It can try to lock in a lower bill for me. It can triage my inbox, right? Typical personal agent use case. It can snap a pick of my meal and track every calorie and other things. So, let's actually try this right now. Let's actually tell Muse to help me figure out, you know, I want to buy electronic razor. So, let's figure out how to do a side-by-side comparison of a razor. All right. So, let's say I want to buy an electronic razor. give me a side byside comparison of the best options and let's see what it comes up with. Okay, so that took about five minutes and what it did was it basically browsed the uh product pages on Best Buy for electronic razors and it gave me this list. I kind of wish it actually went to some review sites like wire cutter or other things to look things up, but this is a good start, right? And among the five things, it looks like it recommends Panasonic for the reasons that it sites here. And I'm sure if I wanted to buy it for me, it can buy on the spot here. But the point is, you know, I really recommend if you download and install Muse to check out the ideas tab. There's just so many really great ideas for what it can do for you, including some of the things that are more out there. Like for example, if you have a pothole or a busted street light, you can actually maybe message the government division to try to get it fixed. So there's a lot of really great ideas here that's personalized based on your usage of Muse. All right, I want to show you just a few more use cases. So you can also ask Muse to look up upcoming concerts and ticketing events for me in the Bay Area and it came with this list, right? Then I asked some questions about, you know, look up stuff that's highly reviewed. the Magic Theater for September 30th, which is my anniversary with my wife, and also look for a nice dinner spot nearby, and it came up with a list of these things. And of course, if I want to actually book the show, I can basically just hit, hey, I want to get two general admission tickets, and I'm sure it's going to use this web browser to book things for me. So, definitely use Muse to look up local events. And you can also set up a weekend scout to look up interesting things to do in the area, right? For example, Muse told me about this list here and I found out there's actually a comedy day in Golden Gate Park that I should check out. Okay, so last but not least, I want to show you what I think is one of the real killer features of Muse that I think the other AI systems are going to copy, which is actually making phone calls for you. So I told it to basically help me negotiate my Xfinity Comcast bill. And first it asked me what kind of voice do I want? Do I want a female or male voice? And then it asked me for my full name and my phone number so that it can make the call for for me. Then the magical part is you know while I was eating breakfast it actually called Xfinity for me and found that there's actually a way to reduce my bill just like with AT&T earlier. So, basically, I can get a promotional rate of $60 per month. If I turn on autopay, I can get another $10 off. And here's the actual transcript of the conversation, right? Which is quite quite insane to see. All right, so here is Muse talking to an actual human. So, Muse asked to lower my phone bill and it says, "Just a moment." And Muse said, "Hey, this is Haley calling on Peter's behalf. I'll transcribe his call for notes. I'm calling to see if Peter can keep the same internet plan but lower the $84 monthly bill. Can you help me with with that? Then the human custom support asked me to confirm the first and last name. I'm not really sure why uh it said me in here. That seems kind of weird, but I confirmed it and yes, it went back and forth with the this conversation and eventually it got the human support agent to tell me that if I turn on autoplay discount, I can get $60 per month. Right. Okay. So, one thing to call here is that Muse is representing itself as my personal agent, not pretending to be Peter. And based on this transcript, you know, the Xfinity agent actually wants me to call myself to get the discount, right? They want to talk to me. But the fact that this all this research and found the discount still saves me a lot of time. We've all experienced how annoying it is to call these companies and have to, you know, dial one or say two to try to get to a human to talk to and also wait on a line for a human be put on hold and all that kind of stuff. And now we have Muse to basically do this stuff for us, which is just a massive timesaver. So, in my opinion, this is the killer feature of Muse and I think everyone should give it a try. And the funny thing is I got this feature by asking Muse to basically message the meta team and request access to the feature for me, right? It's like, hey, please give me access to the phone thing. And uh, you know, Peter wants Muse, please give him access. And I sent the feedback for me. And this morning, I actually got access. So maybe you can also use Muse to kind of give feedback to the product team behind it. All right. So that's all 10 use cases that I want to show today on how you can get the most out of Muse. And overall, I'm really blown away by the product. I think Meta is now the leader in the personal Asian race. You know, the whole experience is just a joy to use. And Meta also has a massive distribution advantage. Meta can basically use the same playbook that it did with stories against Snapchat and threads against X, which is basically promoting Muse across Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and all of its properties. You know, Muse is already a top three app in the app store as I'm recording this after only a week. And personally, I'm a little bit tired of always migrating to a new AI tool or a new AIA agent. So, I want to kind of share my stack right now, which is I still use Chat GPT for everyday work. I use Grockbot for cloud-based work tasks that can run without my computer being on. And I've since switched to Muse for basically all personal tasks. Honestly, I can see Muse being the personal agent that reaches a billion people and is made me really bullish about Meta Stock, too. So, go out there, give Muse a try. It's free to use. uh have it negotiate your bills, have it give you a personalized feed, and all the other use cases that I highlighted. And as always, if you enjoy this video, please like and subscribe for more practical AI tutorials just like this. And I'll see you soon.
