About OpenAI Dots

Dots were the headline of OpenAI DevDay 2026, held on September 29, 2026, which OpenAI describes as its biggest DevDay yet, with more than 20 announcements across ChatGPT, Codex and its models. Dots are always-on agents powered by GPT-6 Astra, with their own cloud computer and browser. With permission, a dot can also connect to and use the user's laptop.

The same event introduced GPT-6.1 Sol, which OpenAI says delivers near-Astra intelligence at a fifth of GPT-6 Astra's standard token prices, as well as ChatGPT Space, Pages and collaborative slides.
